Firefox and Pinguy

I am currently trying out Pinguy (again) on a live usb with persistence When I use Firefox I lose the bottom inch of my window. So what is happening is I cannot maximise the whole screen as at the bottom of the Pinguy desktop there are shortcut icons (and to the left as well) and the Firefox window will not maximise over it. Frankly I would rather lose the icons and go into the menu to start the programs up. Any ideas?

I don’t know that much about Pinguy, but those docks are probably just “Docky” and or Cairo-Dock… try looking at the documentation of those to see if there is some kind of “Autohide” feature.
