One of my Hard Drive’s has just disappeared and I don’t know how to get it back?
Any ideas…

Did you unmount it?
Don’t think I did.
it’s not showing up either?
what makes you think an HDD is not mounting … “nv” (and xorg for that matter) is to do with the graphics driver … and /dev/fb0 is a frame buffer, again graphics related.
Have the graphics drivers just been updated ?
It’s not listed anymore.
and when I open Win-MyDocs it shows whats on Win-Storage and when I (through network) open Win-Storage, it’s empty.
OK, those messages are unrelated …
I’m going to guess the drive assignment(s) changed … you should change to identifying/mounting the drives by UUID rather than device assignment.
Send the contents of fstab:
gedit /etc/fstab
and the output from:
sudo blkid
and
sudo fdisk -l
[EDIT]
What do you mean by
when I (through network) open Win-Storage
You should be accessing it from /media/Win-Storage
gedit /etc/fstab shows;
[spoiler]# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
Use ‘blkid’ to print the universally unique identifier for a
device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices
that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).

Heres a picture of what I mean, I get to them via ‘network’. I cant see the My-Docs but it’s contents are visible if I go in the Videos folder and when I look in the Video folder via the network, its empty

First /dev/sdd seems to have disappeared … is it connected ? … is it displayed in the BIOS ?
Secolndly … you shouldn’t be accessing then via a network share, as they are local drives … access them by clicking File System (left hand panel of your pic) and then navigating to /media/Win-
I’ll have a look in the BIOS in a sec.
I can’t access it via the normal method so I thought I’d see if it was still ‘there’ via another method.
Also, if you look at the left of the file window, you’ll see that one of my drive’s is missing.
Like I said … the drive doesn’t seem to be present at all … check it is being recognised in the BIOS
Sorted.
Checked the BIOS and there WAS one drive not visible.
I unplugged them all and then re-plugged them all back in.
They are all seen now.
I have NO idea what happened!!!
Weird … duff cable/connector maybe ?
I honestly have NO idea. It’s not a moving part so that rules wear n tear out!!!
Bloody gremlins :
Loose connector maybe … the drives DO vibrate
