I may have a flash problem-SOLVED

Some videos online say I have to install Adobe Flash but I have it. You tube works but BBC iplayer doesn’t- says I need Flash. My portable HD with vids works. What is wrong guys?

What’s the output (if any) from:

cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep sse2

and in Firefox, enter this in the address bar
about:plugins
and hit enter.

the let us know what version of “Shockwave Flash” you have.

it’ll look something like:

Shockwave Flash
File: libflashplayer.so
Path: /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so
Version: 11.2.202.335
State: Enabled
Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202</blockquote>

Thanks Mark. There have been some odd goings on with this laptop the past few days. I looked at the Add ons page and the flash had been disabled! I didn’t disable it! Very strange. Vids seem ok now. BBc iplayer has been changed- it is now very tricky to navigate- it looked great before- why do they p- about and change things for the worst???

I suppose the saying “legislators legislate just to justify their existence” also applies to website developers

Glad to hear it’s working again.

I am all for updates if they actually are better and have a point, but whoever designed the new BBCiplayer must have been stoned.
