Much is made of ‘cloud computing’, a term generally applied to running virtual machines on commodity hardware. There are many different flavours, all have their own features and capabilities, all have their own management tools. From what I can see, KVM seems to be the only technology not fundamentally flawed in some way, the downside being that it requires new(er) HVM compliant CPU’s.
