My fave online radio st is not working- any of you know why? Every other online radio st I open works as do videos etc ( except channel 4…)
Is that a paid commercial service ?
Which web browser are you using ? … and have you tried another ?
What happens when you load the above link … do you get a blue triangle play button that does nothing ?
are you using any add blocking plugins in your browser ?
I’ve tried it in Chromium & Firefox and it wont work in any of them and I don’t have any adblockers installed, the amount of adverts suggest to me this is not a paid site also I don’t see any login or register links
According to the help section all it requires is the latest version of Flash and it says it works with Linux
Could this just be problem with the site ?
Did this site ever work for you ?
Graeme
Their “DEMO” station:
http://streamdb2web.securenetsystems.net/v5/DEMOSTN
works in Chrome for me (not Firefox) … but the one linked above just shows (besides all the adverts) a blue “Play” triangle that does nothing … so I’m assuming the stream is broken at their end (or offline ATM).
I’d agree though, the whole site seems a bit iffy to me :o

very iffy :o
The Demo site works for me in Chromium haven’t tested it in Firefox
Working in Firefox as well
Yes it normally works fine, but does go off air once in awhile, but this is the longest. Having ad block on or off doesn’t affect it either way. My flash is fine as other vids and streamings load. It is not paid site or one that requires log ins.
Yes it loads up but the arrow comes on and doesn’t play. I do have some add blockers but they make no diff on or off.
I use Firefox but it is not working in chronium either.
Problem seems to be at their end then.
A guy I know in USA says it is working there though, why would that be?

It could be that they’re using a different server in the US or for some reason it’s blocking UK IP addresses but as Mark said it definitely looks like it’s a problem at their end
Graeme
I will email them, thanks for that- maybe they have blocked UK IPs by accident. How is your Firefox by the way? Mine keeps going really slow. And if I wanted to update the Flash do I go into package manager?
I only have Firefox on my wifes PC so I only used it briefly to test the site you posted but it seemed to run ok,
I wouldn’t try to advise you on updating Flash, Flash and it’s various versions is a mystery to me
Good luck
Graeme
The radio worked on your wife’s pc in Firefox? Is she on Microsoft?

She’s running Peppermint 5 but the radio only worked on the demo that Mark posted not on the station you posted

Thanks Graeme- so we know it is not something to do with Linux then…oh I just remembered- the guy in USA who says it is working on his pc is also a Linux user! I forgot that!
Yes it loads up but the arrow comes on and doesn't play.I get the same thing in both Firefox and Midori. I would say (like Mark said) it is more than likely problem on their end.
Thanks, I have sent an email enquiry.
