Just wondering how to stop my laptop from shutting down when the lid’s closed?
Install the gnome-tweak-tool:
sudo apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool
The either run it from the menu’s or start it from the command line.
You’ll then find the settings you’re after under the “Shell” tab
Thanks for that, It’ll help Mrs Pooky while she’s on her lappy in bed ;D as we have moved the wide-screen TV to the end of the bed out of the front room and as its got a connector for a monitor we can use it with the lappy connected as she is losing her sight due to Diabetes and it’s a ball-ache having to keep the lappy open.
Installed it but cant find it???
Where would it have put it?
If you open the Application lens … then search for tweak, I think it gets displayed as “Advanced Settings” or similar.
Eventually found it…
