Is this a USB wireless adapter ?

Try

No it’s not usd wireless, it’s embeded.
Wired connection work fine .

With an active (wired) internet connection, run:

su

then

yum install akmod-wl

 it works ! Thinks !

Subject: No Wireless connection Fedora 20 (SOLVED)

Thanks in advance

Hello,
I’ve another problem after updating feedora 20, but now the wireless led is on but no internet connection.
can anyone help me pleas ?

what’s the output from:

rfkill list

?

bash: rfkill: not known

You might need to install it:

su

then

yum install rfkill
[root@localhost chrifmarwen]# rfkill list
0: acer-wireless: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
1: acer-bluetooth: Bluetooth
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
5: hci0: Bluetooth
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no

Let’s try uninstalling/reinstalling the driver again … make sure you’re connected to your router with an ethernet cable, then run:

su

then

yum remove akmod-wl

then

yum install akmod-wl

I make this done but no result : the led is off now , i tried fn + f3 to activate it but it dosn’t.

now what’s the output from

rfkill list
0: acer-wireless: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
1: acer-bluetooth: Bluetooth
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no

What’s the output from:

ifconfig

and

iwconfig

and

iwlist scanning

?

[root@localhost chrifmarwen]# ifconfig
