TP-LINK TL-WN721N wireless adapter [SOLVED]

My laptop has a Ralink wireless adapter, which sometimes causes problems. So I bought a USB wireless adapter TL-WN721N, but I do not know how to use it. Can someone help me? The system is Ubuntu 12.04 3.2.0-40-generic.

Can you explain what the problem appears to be … according to your output, the card appears to be working, connected to the “jinjiefu” access point, and also detecting another 44 different access points.

Unless you disable (in BIOS or with hardware switch) the built in wireless card will take precedence over the plug in adaptor.
If you can not disable, then remove it :slight_smile:
